IRI's Interior Minister, Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar in a meeting with Algerian Ambassador to Tehran, Sofian Maimouni on Saturday highlighted the geographical situation of Iran and Algeria in the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean Sea region and urged for expansion of ties between the two countries.
Najjar added that Iran is ready to transfer its experiences in E-government, municipalities and security affairs to Algeria.
He also pointed to security agreement between the two countries and urged for activation of the related commission.
Maimouni for his part said that the Algerian government is eager to expand ties with Iran in all fields.
"The presidents of Iran and Algeria attach high importance to mutual ties. We should also reach a proper level in economic relations," he added.
