505 13 Licence fee for Pedal bicycles introduced
The office of the Inspector General of police has announced that pedal bicycles with effect from May 1st, 2010, will pay a sum of D100.00 as licence fee, a news release from the police Headquarters revealed.
According to the release, all bicycles owners should note that the bicycles would be subjected to test on breaking system, headlights and reflectors before being issued with a licence. In the same vein all donkey and horse carts are only allowed to be on the streets or roads from 7.00am to 7.00pm. Any donkey or horse cart seen on the roads beyond the stipulated time, the owner would be charged and taken to court, the release further stated.
