Tehran, July 21, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday held the US, Britain and the Zionist regime responsible for raising terrorists to escalate sectarian Shia-Sunni tension in Iran.
The Supreme Leader expressed condolence to the bereaved families of the martyrs of Zahedan Mosque and prayed to immediate recovery of those injured in the two separate bombings.
In his message of condolence to mark seventh day of martyrdom of victims of the terror bombings, the Supreme Leader said that in this bloody incident the deviated Wahabi intruders backed by secret services of aliens took life of innocent people and inflicted human losses.
"The blind-hearted, ignorant murderers who are opposed to Islam and Muslims have targeted Muslims at different junctures, and their enmity with the Islamic Republic of Iran has roots in the role of the country in urging unity and solidarity among world Muslims which has brought the Muslims dignity and strength."
The Supreme Leader said that the enemies seek to sow discord among Muslims through such bloody incidents, and that the Islamic Republic of Iran as the main supporter of oppressed Muslims in Gaza, Palestine, Afghanistan and Kashmir has currently been the target of secret services of the US, Britain and the Zionist regime.
They are ignorant to the fact that Iranian Sunnis along with their Shia brothers have proved their loyalty to the genuine Islam and have very bravely confronted the global arrogance and its mercenaries at various junctures.
“In our region, the blind and savage terrorism has roots in arrogant policies of the US, Britain and their lackeys, and it is incumbent upon all Muslims to fight the corrupt on earth.”
The Supreme Leader said that followers of all the Islamic schools of thought in Iran and the neighboring countries shoulder a much grave responsibility to thwart the plots hatched against Islam.
The Supreme Leader gave assurances that the Islamic Republic of Iran under no circumstances will let the global arrogance use Wahabiat or the other schools of thought to undermine the Islamic Ummah.
The Supreme Leader assigned the "three branches of government and their relative organizations to seriously deal with the enemies who targetted Iranian national unity."
