ABUJA, May 11 (Xinhua) -- The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is to organize the 2nd edition of its Air Exposition in central north Kaduna State from May 15 to May 19.

Chairman for the organizing committee Air Commodore Rufus Ojuawo said this in Abuja while briefing newsmen on the activities lined up for the event.

Ojuawo said the first edition of the "Air Expo" was held in 2010 to provide a platform in sub-Saharan African for all stakeholders in the defense and aviation industries around the world to interact and promote development within the region.

He said the NAF re-conceptualized the NAF Day celebration about two years to reflect the new thinking by the Federal Government to integrate the armed forces in nation building.

Ojuawo said President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to open the event in Kaduna on May 15.

The air commodore said the event would feature aerial and static display, ceremonial parade as well as a seminar with the theme "Air Force in Nation Building in line with the Transformation Agenda of the Federal Government and the Vision 2020".
