20120518 IRIB Representative of Libyan transitional government in Lebanon Abu-Bakr Sheibani said Friday that his nation would never forget Iran’s support to Libyan revolutionary forces.
“Libyan nation would inscribe the active role of Iran's Red Crescent Society in helping the war-hit country in their hearts and minds,” Sheibani said.
The Libyan official made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi.
He said the case of Shii Alim Imam Moussa Sadr, who went missing in Libya, is under investigation in the Syria-Libya joint committee.
Sheibani underlined that the regional countries, Iran and Lebanon in particular, attached great importance to destiny of Imam Sadr.
Roknabadi, for his part, expressed hope that the united Libya could withstand the plots of enemies and Zionist regime and restore its previous status in the region and North Africa.
He also voiced the Islamic republic of Iran willingness to support the Libyan nation and reconstruct their countries.
Roknabadi also urged the Libyan side to follow up seriously the case of Imam Sadr.
