20120606 AFP Three suspects have been charged with disturbing public order and are being detained in connection with an attack on transition leader Dioncounda Traore in May, a prosecutor said Tuesday.
Boubacar Bore, Yacouba Niare and Mamadou Sangare were charged with "serious disturbances to public order", said state prosecutor Sombe Thera.
They are members of a group in support of a March 22 coup which protested Traore's appointment to head a 12-month transition. During the May 21 protest Traore, 70, was physically attacked in his office.
The interim president has yet to return from Paris where he sought medical treatment after the attack.
Thera said some 60 people, including presidential staff, had been questioned over the attack, which drew stern condemnation from abroad.
