2012-07-11 Xinhua Zambian President Michael Sata has made a mini-reshuffle of his cabinet by creating two more ministries, the Zambia Daily Mail reported on Wednesday.
Sata has re-aligned his two ministries: Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, and Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and Labor, according to the newspaper.
He delinked tourism from foreign affairs and created a new ministry of tourism and arts while labor has been de-linked from the ministry of information and broadcasting and is now a separate ministry.
For the two new ministries, Fackson Shamenda has been appointed as the minister of labor while Sylvia Masebo, a former minister in the previous government, has been appointed as minister of tourism and arts.
The Zambian leader said during the announcement at State House that Sylvia Masebo should make tourism a major income-earner for the southern African nation.
