A Sudanese military plane with 20 personnel on board has crashed near the capital Khartoum.
Sudanese military spokesman Sawarmi Khaled Saad said the pilot informed the airport that he had a problem with one of his engines before the plane went down west of Jebel Aulia.
The number of casualties is still unknown, but China’s Xinhua news agency said Sudan’s official radio reported over 15 people were killed in the crash.
“Some people are injured but we are still gathering information about the toll,” Saad said.
The plane was headed to al-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, from Khartoum.
In August, a plane crash in a southern border state left 32 people, including a government minister, dead.
