Pro-Palestine activists in South Africa have intensified their campaign to prevent the sale of goods produced by the Zionist regime, Press TV reports.
The activists warned that they will launch flash-mob demonstrations in stores neglecting the campaign.
One of the key targeted products, which the campaigners say should be removed from the stores, is ‘Ahava’ cosmetics.
The South African government says the campaign is not political and is based on protecting human rights in line with international law.
The activists believe that businesses and people alike cannot turn a blind eye to the campaign.
“We believe that eventually civil society in South Africa, especially the middle classes that have these options to buy these products, are in fact going to listen to the Palestinians’ cry,” an activist said.
In August, the South African government confirmed that it will not import goods produced in the occupied West Bank and East al-Quds (Jerusalem) with “Made in Israel” labeling. Press TV
