Egypt : Foreign Minister - Foreign Ministry Is First Defense Line for Egyptian Interests

Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr said that the Foreign Ministry is one of the national security institutions and the first defense line for Egyptian interests.

The top diplomat made his remarks on 21/10/2012 during graduation ceremony of 43 and 44 batches of diplomatic attachés at the Institute of Diplomatic Studies.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Boutros Ghali, former Secretary-General of the United Nations. Ghali stressed the need to work to support Egypt's status in the international community. He stressed also the importance of the role of new diplomats to work in order to strengthen Egypt position through technological development and ongoing work.
