Governor of northeast Nigeria's Taraba State Danbaba Suntai who survived an air crash involving his private aircraft Cessna 208 with registration number 5N-BMJ in Yola, capital of Adamawa State, has been rushed to Germany in an air ambulance for medical attention on Saturday, a statement reaching Xinhua said.
Suntai and three of aides were involved in a plane crash in Yola on Thursday.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Hassan Mijinyawa confirmed the development to reporters in a statement issued in Jalingo, the state capital on Saturday.
Chief Medical Director (CMD) at the National Hospital in Abuja Professor Bello Bala Shehu told reporters that Suntai was in good state.
"He is very stable. For the first 24 hours of any injuries, there were worries but they were very few," he added.
"There is no need to do any operation on him. He is very stable. Given what happened, we are very satisfied with the situation at the moment," he said.
Minister of Aviation Stella Oduah had said on Thursday that governor was in a critical condition, while others in the aircraft including crew members sustained severe injuries after the air crash.
