Tunisia's Interior Ministry denied in a statement on Tuesday the existence of Jihadist training camps on its territory, the official TAP press agency reported.
The statement came following the report of a French weekly magazine "Marianne," which said last week that at least two Jihadist training camps existed in the north and south of Tunisia.
The Tunisian Interior Ministry denied the report, saying " Tunisian interior security forces and army are showing great vigilance at the borders to ensure the security of people and prevent any eventual dangers to the country's security and stability."
According to the French magazine, it was "common knowledge" that the alleged training camps were located respectively in Tunisia's Tabarka region, in the north and in the vicinity of an area close to the Algerian and Libyan borders, near the Ghadames Oasis in Libya.
