The spokesman of Libyan General Attorney said Sunday that the trial of former Prime Minister al- Baghdadi Ali al-Mahmoudi will start in Tripoli on Monday.

Mahmoudi would face the charges of violating state security, the spokesman, Taha Barra, told France 24 TV.
Mahmoudi, who served as the last prime minister in former leader Muammar Gaddafi's administration from 2006 to 2011, fled to Tunisia in September 2011 after the armed rebels seized the Libyan capital of Tripoli during the unrest.
He were arrested in southern Tunisia and extradited to Libya later.
