Cote d'Ivoire's Planning and Development Minister Albert Toikeusse Mabri said on Monday that the government was "satisfied" with the role played by the United Nations system in the country's development process.
The minister who was speaking during a forum of the actors of the UN systems, hailed the support of the UN Missions in the security, social cohesion and humanitarian domains.
"There's need for us to harmonize our efforts in order to come up with a mechanism to follow-up and evaluate the national development plan," Mabri said.
Mabri further hailed the willingness of partners who have supported Cote d'Ivoire's development efforts.
Speaking during the same forum, the coordinator of the UN system Ndolamb Ngokey pointed out the areas of collaboration with the Cote d'Ivoire government.
"The national cohesion, social protection and inclusive growth should be given a lot of attention," he recommended.
Cote d'Ivoire is still depending on several partners including the UN, for its reconstruction program following the 2010-2011 post-election crisis that lasted for close to five months.
