A total of four Tunisian migrants were reported missing after their boat capsized off Tunisian coast, local Shems FM reported Tuesday.
The four men, who were allegedly heading to the Italian island of Lampedusa, left Ezzahra town in the southern suburbs of capital Tunis on Nov. 8.
One of the four had called his family and said their boat had capsized off the town of Kelibia of Tunisia, according to Shems FM.
Italian authorities on the islands of Lampedusa and Pantelleria, said the names of the four missing men are not on the list of Tunisian immigrants there.
This is the second incident of its kind recently. A few months ago, dozens of Tunisian illegal migrants drowned after their boat sank in stormy weather off Lampedusa. A total of 56 of them were rescued.
