Sudan on Friday refuted Israeli claims that Khartoum has agreed on building an Iranian military base on the Red Sea.
"These claims are baseless and do not conform to the principles of the Sudanese government," Rahamtalla Mohamed Osman, Sudan's Foreign Ministry Undersecretary, told Xinhua.
"Israel has kept on practicing such accusations and using them against Sudan which indicates that these claims are untrue," he added.
He further reiterated Sudan's absolute rejection for any foreign trend to establish military bases inside Sudan's territories.
Israeli press reports on Thursday said Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has allowed establishment of Iranian military bases in Sudan, expecting that Iranian missiles capable of attacking targets in south and central Israel would be deployed at those bases.
