The actions of the Muslim Brotherhood and its Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) during the past period will negatively affect the number of their parliamentary seats in the upcoming elections, member of Salafi al-Nour Party and Shura parliamentarian Salah Abdel Ma'boud has said.
The brotherhood will only get 35 percent of the parliament seats, Abdel Ma'boud told Aswat Masriya.
The expected decline in the level of the FJP's representation in the parliament will be in favour of other Islamist parties such as al-Nour party and the Building and Development Party, the MP said.
Abdel Ma'boud expected an increase in the number of the Nour Party seats in the coming parliament compared to the previous one.
The representation of liberal parties in the parliament will be frail and sparse due to the weakness of their voting bloc, he said.
