Sudanese Petroleum Ministry has notified oil companies to stop exporting South Sudan's oil through the Sudanese territories, Khartoum's Alyaoum Altali daily reported.
"The oil companies operating in exporting South Sudan's oil through the Sudanese territories have received official letters from the Petroleum Ministry to stop the oil exportation operations within 60 days," the report said.
According to the newspaper, Sudanese Petroleum Minister Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz accused South Sudan of being unserious in implementing the security agreements with Sudan, noting that security represents a main pillar for implementing other bilateral agreements.
On June 8, Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir announced the stoppage of South Sudan's oil exportation through Sudan's territories starting from June 9.
In May, al-Bashir threatened to halt South Sudan's oil exportation through Sudan's oil infrastructure if Juba continues supporting the rebels of the Revolutionary Front Alliance which is fighting the government in South Kordofan and Blue Nile State.
Khartoum and Juba had recently agreed to resume South Sudan's oil exportation through Sudan's territories as part of the implementation of a cooperation agreement signed in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa last year.
