Nigerian troops in northeast Adamawa State on Saturday announced a review of the 7 p.m. to 6 a. m. curfew imposed on the state following last month declaration of the State of Emergency. The Operational Commander of the force, Brig Gen. Fatai Alli said in a statement that the curfew is now 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
He said the authorities of the 23 Armour Brigade command extends its appreciation to the public for the level of corporation received thus far and advises all law abiding citizens to go about their lawful businesses within the new stipulated timings of the curfew.
It was the second time the curfew is being reviewed since the declaration of the state of emergency on May 14 by President Goodluck Jonathan.
