A bomb attack has been carried out in the tourist resort of Sousse near the Tunisian capital of Tunis, with the bomber having been killed in the assault.
The blast took place on a beach near the Palm Hotel in Sousse on Wednesday, security sources said.
Sousse, an important tourist destination, is about 140 km south of the capital, Tunis, on the Mediterranean coast.
According to security sources, police also arrested another bomber at the mausoleum of former President Habib Bourguiba in Monastir, 24 km from Sousse, on the same day.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, yet the Tunisian government places the blame on the militants from neighbouring Libya.
Since the overthrow of long-time dictator Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, the Libyan government has been struggling to tackle the presence of armed militants.
