At least five people have been killed and dozens more wounded in a grenade attack on a bus in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
The Kenyan Interior Ministry said the attack was carried out in the predominantly Somali neighborhood of Pangani on Saturday.
“We are investigating to establish if the explosion was caused by a grenade or an improvised explosive device,” said Nairobi area police chief Benson Kibue.
“We also want to establish if the attacker was in the vehicle or if it was thrown at it,” he added.
The blast blew out windows and sent debris flying into the busy street.
The assault was the deadliest in the Kenyan capital since the September terrorist attack that claimed the lives of nearly 70 people.
