A Rwandan doctor has been arrested by French authorities in connection with the 1994 genocide which left at least 800,000 people dead.
Eugene Rwamucyo was taken into custody while attending the funeral of Jean-Bosco Barayagwiza, another Rwandan convict who had died in prison while serving a term for involvement in mass killings in Rwanda, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
"This is a campaign by Rwandan authorities and the (governing) Rwandan Patriotic Front, which has been chasing me for the past 15 years," Rwamucyo told AFP.
He has denied all the accusations.
