Self-confessed serial killer Philip Onyancha has been levelled with murder charges in a Kenya court on Tuesday. The 32 year old Kenyan security guard, who confessed to 19 murders and intending to kill 100 people in five years has been charged alongside two other accomplices, Tobias Nyabuhaga and Douglas Obiero Makori.

Police official Richard Katola disclosed that crime rate of Onyancha is really shocking and he accused has help to unveil the mystery, according to The Earth Times web

"He has helped us a lot in resolving murder cases which were a mystery to us,"

It is alleged that on the 14th of April this year, the three, murdered nine-year-old Andrew Njirwa Muiruiri at Ngando village in Dagoretti village in Nairobi. Muiruri's body was found near the Lenana School, Nairobi a week ago.

Onyancha could not answer to the murder charges and has been requested by the state to remain in remand at Kilimani police station for further investigations.

His accomplices were however arrested on Saturday after Onyancha implicated them in some of the murders that he confessed to have been committed in the last two years.

Saying, the two jointly participated in extortion rackets and are behind the murder of a nine year old boy. The case against them has been set for mention on 29th of June after a psychiatrist report indicated that Onyancha is fit to stand trial.

The woman who Onyancha claimed to have inducted him in to the blood suckling cult in his high school days was however not brought to court.
Meanwhile police in Nakuru are yet to recover the body of a woman that was allegedly killed by the self-confessed serial killer.

Last week, Onyancha led CID officers to lodging in the town and claimed he murdered a woman in one of the rooms. But Nakuru OCPD Johnston Ipara said they had been looking into their files since Thursday, but so far no such incident had been reported.

"I have looked back to our files dating as far as 2008 because we thought he was mistaking the date but we do not have such a report," he disclosed to Kenya Broadcasting Corporation.

Onyancha's victims who have so far been identified include Anthony, Catherine from Nairobi, Jackline Wamboi and Helen Nyambura from Thika and Chepkurui in Naivasha.

Three bodies are yet to be identified.

Onyancha is a member of a cult, which reportedly convinced him that he would become one of the country's richest men if he killed dozens of people and drank their blood.
