The senior goalkeeper of West African nation Ghana, Richard Kingson, is unperturbed with pressure back home to take off his gloves from international football. The former Wigan Athletic goal tender sets the next four years to retire after the Nations and World Cups.
“I want to win the Cup of Nations [2012] and play at the World Cup finals [2014] before even thinking of retirement,” the 32-year-old told 90 MINUTES.
“With the squad we have now and the young ones coming through, I believe we can achieve our target at the next Cup of Nations and equally do better at the 2014 World Cup, where I hope to play in the finals,” Kingson, who hopes to secure a club before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, added.
