Inter Milan and Cameroonian-born goal poacher, Samuel Fils Eto'o is the second-highest paid footballer in the Italian Serie A, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

On a salary worth €8 million per year, the Indomitable Lions’ captain is hot on the heels of his predecessor at the Nerazzurri and successor at Barca, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who signed a €9 million per year contract with AC Milan last August.

One time Barça ball joggler, Ronaldinho, who now trades his football skills for the Rossoneri, comes third on the list with an annual earning of €7.5 million.

Other African professional footballers were on the list but far behind include; World Cup 2010 quarter-finalists, Ghanaian Sulley Muntari peaks at €2 million while AC Milan's Kevin Prince Boateng takes €1 million home per year.

Algerian trio Abdelkader Ghezzal (Siena), Mourad Meghni (Lazio) and Hassan Yebda (Napoli) respectively earn €600,000, €400,000 and €700,000 per year.
