JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - The South African Reserve Bank on Tuesday called for the public to nominate people to join the bank as independent non-executives.
"The Bank calls on all South Africans, including the private sector, trade unions and civil society to nominate fit and proper candidates for consideration as non-executive directors of the Board," the bank said in a statement on its website.
The non-executive directors, who will replace three whose term ends this year, would each serve for three years. Their their names will be put forward for election at the Bank's ordinary general meeting on December 8.
