The coach of the Simbas of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Frenchman Robert Nouzaret has published a list of 23 players, including 16 local players for the October 9 game against Cameroon. The list, made public since September 16 has been described by some football enthusiast as 'intriguing.'

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon take on the Congolese side in their Day Two matches in one of their Group E qualifiers for the 2012 AFCON billed for Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. The match has been slated for the Cameroonian northern town of Garoua.

The Congolese camp have decided to leave out the players of their most popular and legendary club, Tout Puissant (TP) Mazembe, from the Lubumbashi Region of the country, which is currently preparing for the quarter – finals of 2010 African Champions League.

Most of the 16 local players, invited to join the other seven professionals coming from France and Congo – Brazzaville are from the following clubs; AS Vita, they have five players, Daring Motema Pembe, four players, St. Eoi Lupopo, Elima, Ndoki a Ndomba and Shark.

These 16 players are;

Defenders:
Isama Peko (Dcmp)
Ebunga Simbi (AS Vita.Club)
Thierry Kasereka (AS Vita.Club)
Gladys Bokese (Dcmp)
Walby Nyemba Nkanu (AS Vita.Club)

Midfielders:
Landu Makela (Dcmp)
Mutombo Kazadi (St Eloi Lupopo)
Lema Mabidi (Shark XI FC)
Muanza Muloji (St Eloi Lupopo)
Tychique Ntela Kalema (AS Vita.Club)

Attackers:
Mbangi Ndaya (AS Vita.Club)
Tedika (AS Ndoki a Ndombe)
Soki Malewa (TC Elima)
Eric Nyemba Tuboko (AC Léopard of Dolisie/Congo - Brazzaville).
