After months of diplomatic tension between Libya and South Korea, sparked by accusations of spying on Muammar Gaddafi, both countries have agreed to renew ties once again.
An emissary from South Korea - Lee Sang-Deuk, a brother of South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak - had talks with the Libyan leader on Thursday in Tripoli, AFP said.
Last June, Libya expelled a South Korean intelligence official for allegedly trying to garner information on the Libyan leader.
