Troubled Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has caught the eye of Cameroon football legend Roger Milla in its bid to host the 2015 or 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament. "It has been a long time since the Africa Cup of Nations was hosted in the Central African region," Milla said in a footafrica365report.
"After the 2012 edition, I'd be proud to see the DR Congo organize 2015. I think this country, with all it has given to Africa in terms of good players, also has the capability to host a beautiful football experience. For the campaign, I am the number one supporter of DR Congo.”
Democratic Republic of Congo has applied to host the finals of the 2015 or 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, competing with South Africa and Morocco. The successful candidates will be made known next year.
