The Algerian Football Federation is planning an international friendly with Tunisia for both teams to prepare well for their upcoming 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. According to FA president Mohamed Raouraoua it would help coach Abdelhak Ben Chikha prep his team against Morocco. Algeria announces World Cup Squad
Speaking to Nessma TV, Raouraoua disclosed that the friendly could come off on February 9 next year.
According to Goal.com, the news comes after previous reports indicated that Morocco’s FA were seeking a Tunisia friendly on the same date. A fixture pitting the Atlas Lions against the Carthage Eagles even appeared on FIFA’s official website last week but it has since been removed.
Meanwhile, some matches that will definitely take place are Algeria versus Luxemburg and Morocco versus Northern Ireland, both on November 17 this year.
