Security at the Kenyan-Somali border has been beefed up following clashes between Somali Pro-government forces and the rebel fighters of Al-shabaab.
This is an effort believed that the Kenyan Security Personnel will ensure none from the militia groups in Somalia will escape into the country.
The week old conflict has been reported leaving nearly 30 dead, injuring dozens of others.
According to the Standard two Kenyans have received slight injuries.
Tuesday’s intensified clash at Bula-hawa town in which the Islamist fighters had been defeated left a high tension at the along running border between the two countries.
Bula –Hawa, a town on the border, shares a close frontier with a Kenyan town of Mandera, where many people are reportedly to have fled.
According to CNN the Somali government forces and their allied fighters say they have killed at least 25 Al-Shabaab militants in the war.
“We have defeated Al-shabaab and now we are in full control of the town of Balad-Hawa (or Bula-Hawa), said Sheik Hassan Abdi Qoryole, a top commander with Ahlu Sunna wal Jama'a.
Ahlu Sunna wal jama'a, a moderate Islamist group, fights against the other hardline Islamist groups of Al-Shabaaba and Hizbul Islam in Somalia.
Today, Kenya has many refugee camps, most of them bordering Somalia.
