Kenya national football coach Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee has resigned after his side lost 2-0 to Uganda in a Cecafa Cup match in Dar es Salaam, according to the BBC. It was the third loss in a row for the Harambee Stars who now go home without a point.
"I take full responsibility for the poor showing here and believe I do not deserve to continue coaching this team," Mulee said after the match. This was Mulee's third spell in charge of his country's national team.
"I came here with the best players from the Kenyan League and if I cannot win a single match then the best option is to quit," he said.
Mulee, who took the team to the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia in his first stint in charge, had only been reappointed a couple of months ago and has failed to transform it into a winning outfit.
