The ruling Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria [PDP] formally released its time table and guidelines for the 2011 general election, fixing 13th of January for presidential primaries.
PDP's national publicity secretary, Professor Rufai Alkali who signed the time table said screening of presidential aspirants would be held in the Nigerian capital, Abuja on 11 January, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
According to the time table, special congresses to elect gubernatorial candidates would hold across states on the 9th of January after aspirants must have been screened between 22nd and 23rd December.
For the National Assembly, congresses for the election of both Senate and House of Representatives would hold on the 5h of January while screening of aspirants would hold between 29th and 30th December.
