Guinea's new Prime Minister Mohamed Said Fofana has vowed to work for peace and national unity. It was reportedly his first public comments since his appointment by President Alpha Conde. Fofana said he was aware of the delicate nature of his task as Prime Minister in the West African Country, reports MISNA.
He urged all Guineans residing in the country and in the Diaspora, to lend a hand in supporting the President in his work of building a model nation.
Fofana is an economist and a former chairman of the Guinean Trade chamber. His appointment as Guinea's Prime Minister came after the swearing- in of Alpha Conde as the first democratically elected President of Guinea after decades of authoritarian rule.
