An explosion hit the French embassy in Bamako, capital of Mali on Wednesday evening, local media reported.

The explosion was caused by a bottle filled with gas and three people were injured in the incident, reports said.

But there is no conformation of the explosion from the police of Mali so far.

According to reports reaching here, the French Foreign Ministry has said an explosion rocked the French embassy in Mali on Wednesday.

It also said it had no information about the possible casualties in the explosion at this stage.
