CAIRO, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- An Egyptian lawyer set himself on fire in front of the government headquarters on Tuesday, security sources told Xinhua.

The nearly 50-year-old lawyer, Mohamed Farouk, was sent to Al Munira hospital after a policeman stopped him. The severity of his injuries was not clear.

The initial investigation showed that the reason behind this case was a family dispute.
