At a news conference in Jos, the state capital, spokesperson for the troops Charles Ekeaocha dismissed the allegations that two of their members were killed by unidentified gun men during the attack.

He told reporters that the recent mayhem witnessed the arrest of a Mobile Police Corporal, Corporal Mohammed Uba of the Abuja Mobile police Mopol 44 with Force Registration Number 22015.

He said Corporal Mohammed was found with live animations.

Ekeaocha said two suspects were shot dead in a fire exchange with the members of the troops, adding that the most of the arrested suspects were from the Fulani extraction.

The spokesperson told Xinhua on phone that the Task Force also arrested 29 suspects alive, noting that a pastor was cult red handed using an AK47 gun.

"Our men got the information about the attack and we responded on time, we engaged the criminal, two of them died, while we were able to arrest 29 of them," he added.
