20110203 Xinhua CAIRO, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Heavy gunfire was heard near Egyptian museum in Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo on Wednesday and some protestors were injured, Xinhua reporter said.
Thousands of supporters of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak were trying to rush into Tahrir, or Liberation Square, while anti- Mubarak protesters formed "human walls" by standing hand in hand at the entrances of the square. The clash between the two sides continued early Wednesday evening, and some were hurt in the heads by stones.
A lot of protestors began to withdraw from the square, and the military is still present at main roads leading up to the square with their tanks and armed vehicles.
Two Molotov cocktails were thrown inside the courtyard of the Egyptian museum on Wednesday evening, but the fire was put out soon after, Egyptian TV reported
