CAIRO, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Saturday held a ministerial meeting attended by the prime minister, central bank governor, ministers of petroleum, social solidarity, trade and industry and finance, state media reported.

The meeting was held at the Heliopolis presidential headquarters in Cairo, the MENA news agency reported, as anti- Mubarak protests entered their 12th day. Health authorities said some 5,000 people were injured since the protests began on Jan. 25, but gave no information about the death toll.

Egypt's exports decreased by six percent in January, Minister of Trade and Industry Samiha El-Sayed Ibrahim said after the meeting.

The government will take measures to maintain the economic stability, he said, adding that food supplies are sufficient and a lot of factories resumed operation on Saturday.

Mubarak has promised that he would not run for next term. He also ordered constitutional reforms and invited all political parties for talks on economic and political reforms.
