.ABUJA (Reuters) - Nigeria's main labour unions called off a three-day strike due to start on Wednesday after reaching a last minute agreement with the government over the implementation of the new minimum wage.

"The strike has been suspended. We have reached agreements with the federal government on one hand and the state governors on the other," said Owei Lakemfa, acting general secretary of the Nigerian Labour Congress told Reuters.
