20110813 Reuters ABUJA (Reuters) - Nigeria distributed 616 billion naira from federal accounts to its three tiers of government for July, up by 1.6 percent from the previous month, the accountant general said on Friday.
Gross revenues in Africa's top crude oil exporter rose to 907 billion naira from 883 billion the previous month.
"This was due to improved crude oil production and lifting witnessed during the month as a result of improvement in operations at some terminals after maintenance works," Accountant General Jonah Otunla said after a meeting of the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee.
"Revenue was further boosted by companies income tax payments made by various large companies as well as collection of arrears of royalties."
