20111025 Press TV Egypt has resumed its exportation of natural gas to neighboring Israel after its latest halt, nearly a month ago.
Gas deliveries in reduced quantities to Israel began on Thursday to test the system before the resumption of full levels began on Sunday, AFP reported.
According to Egyptian authorities, Cairo is to substantially raise the price of its gas exports to Tel Aviv.
Egypt stopped the export of gas to Israel in September, after the main delivering pipeline was blown up.
The pipeline which is near the town of al-Arish in the north of the Sinai peninsula, has been blown up six times since the ouster of former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak in February.
Many activists and opposition figures oppose the resumption of gas exports to Israel, while many critics argue that Israel is receiving gas at very low prices.
Israel's supply of gas from Egypt has been regularly disrupted since former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak was toppled in February.
