20111213 Islam Times In an interview with the Vice-President of the Supreme Security Committee, Abdul Razzak Al-Aradi, he denied sending rebel fighters to Syria.
Al-Aradi said that those who are called the fifth column and of Gaddafi’s men are behind these rumors. He described these news as placing poison in honey and pointed out that the Libyans are busy moving from the revolution to the state and that the construction phase needs the youth and wished that the Syrian people have their freedom in the near future.
Informed sources had said that the U.S. authorities contacted Libyan figures to inquire about the news of the arrival of Libyan fighters to Syria and quoted an unnamed Libyan official saying that the Transitional National Assembly sent fighters to Syria and provided the rebels with arms.
Walid Ahmad Al-Ferjani, one of the military commanders in the military council, mentioned that Libya has already responded to the distress call by the Syrian rebels and sent special military rebel units to fight alongside the free Syrian army against President Bashar Al-Assad.
