The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) and the government's sports ministry have resolved a damaging dispute that threatened the country's preparations for next month's Africa Cup of Nations.

The FSF had broken off all contact with the ministry in a row over national team coach Amara Traore's new contract.

As a result the publication of Senegal's 22-player squad for the January 21-February 14 Nations Cup was delayed, and two Nations Cup warm-ups against Sudan and Tunisia were cancelled.

Confirming the row had been put to bed FSF spokeswoman Ndeye Dome Thiouf told AFP on Monday: "The misunderstanding is over following a meeting between the two sides on Friday."

Traore, whose contract ran out on December 15, is now expected to sign a new deal imminently and the publication of Senegal's squad for the Nations Cup released this week.

Senegal, drawn in Nations Cup Group A with Equitorial Guinea, Libya and Zambia, will now face Sudan on January 12 in Dakar.
